St Mary's Catholic Primary School

Art Week

Children were so looking forward to this week. Arty Party were booked every day and were given classes to work with.

Y3 wanted to make a Mummy to stand guard on the stairs leading to the Loft.  Not sure anyone will want to pass by!

Y2 asked for silk paintings, Y6 wanted abstract paintings using acrylics, Y4 opted for an Aztec mural, Nursery/YR/Y1 for outside art work to brighten their areas and Y5 decided it had to be Greek athletes. Running alongside all this work, each class planned various activities using clay, wire and collage material to really make the most of the week. An Art Gallery has been organised for the final week of term to showcase all the wonderful creative pieces. It is hoped many parents and grandparents will visit St Mary’s and look around the school.
