Class M's Mass
Our topic this term in RE is Justice. For this reason, we based our final class mass at St Mary’s on Justice and Trust since they come hand in hand. We had already taken part in a creative lesson to explain what justice meant to us. Some of us produced artwork, while others expressed themselves through poetry and song.
In our mass we dramatised the story of Daniel and the Lions. Daniel was falsely sent to the lion’s den as his fellow governors were jealous. But since Daniel showed immense trust in God, God sent an angel to save him. This was a good story to show that God helps save those from injustice who show faith and trust in him. And that, unlike the King, we should step forward when we think something is wrong and trust God will be there to give us the strength to have the courage to do so.
