YEAR 5 VISIT TO HORTON KIRBY

YEAR 5 VISITED HORTON KIRBY.

Y5 pretended to be  Victorians for the day and realised it was hard work.  The mills were hot and noisy.  Working for a chimney sweep meant long days.  The teachers were so strict and getting the cane for spelling a word incorrectly was harsh.  Y5 children were glad to return to St Mary’s.  Life in the 19th Century was tough.  At the end of the day, staff at Horton Kirby praised our children, saying how enthusiastic they were.  What a great day!
