Year 3 - Visit from a Stone Age man!

In Year 3 we had a very special visit from a Stone Age man! He was dressed in animal skins and had weapons made of stone with him. He talked to us about how he would use the spears to catch his food and the flint to prepare the meal. We learnt how important it was to keep warm and safe in the prehistoric times. He then took us on a hunt for deer. We each had a spear and had to keep very quiet as we surrounded and caught our dinner. After, we sang a song to the Gods to thank them for our meal. He taught us lots about the beliefs of the Stone Age and how important the sun and stars were. He took us through the Bronze and Iron Age before finally sharing a Celtic story with us. We helped him act out the story and sing the songs. We had a brilliant time!
