Year Six Money Sense on Monday

Money Sense

Year Six were visited by four volunteers on Monday who all work in the financial services industry. Children were asked to plan a party for a child according to certain criteria. Their budget was £100 and they had to provide a venue, entertainment and decide whether or not they needed a cake.

After children presented their proposal to the volunteers, they voted on whose party was the best value and most suitable.Children really enjoyed the session and used a range of skills including budgeting and negotiation.

Thank you to Mr Ross-Wilden, Mrs Collins, and Mrs Crowley for helping us learn more about the real value of money.
