• Thursday 14 May 2026 Ascension Thursday This feast commemorating the bodily ascension of Jesus into Heaven, celebrated 40 days after Easter.
• Friday 8 May 2026 VE DAY ANNIVERSARY May 8th 2026 is the 81st Anniversary of VE Day. VE Day, short for Victory in Europe Day, is a deeply significant annual observance marking the end of World War 2 in Europe.
• Friday 1 May 2026 Feast of St Joseph the Worker 1st May is the feast of St Joseph the Worker. The feast says "your daily work matters". Whether it is manual labour, office work, studying or caring for others, the Catholic teaching sees all honest work as something that can honour God, just like Joseph's did.
• Tuesday 21 April 2026 Season of Spring Looking around at the beautiful nature around us we realise that there is always something to be thankful for. Enjoy this special time of the year.
• Monday 23 March 2026 EASTER Easter is a time of hope, love and new beginnings.
• Monday 16 March 2026 Parent's Evening 18th & 19th March Parents and carers will come on site to speak to their child's teacher and to look at their child's workbooks. Meetings take place between 3.30pm - 6pm
• Monday 9 March 2026 Mother's Day 2026 The PA is holding a Mother's Day gift sale for all the children on Friday 14th March during the school day. Children will be able to purchase gifts ranging from 50p - £6 for a special aunt/grandmother as well as mother.
• Tuesday 3 March 2026 Y6 Residential Journey 2 March - 6 March The Y6 children are on their residential trip to Kingswood this week. They are blessed with the weather and having a wonderful time.
• Monday 9 February 2026 Children's Mental Health Week 2026 The theme for this year is This is My Place. Children will take part in various activities focusing on this theme.
• Thursday 5 February 2026 Life Education on Site Running PHSE workshops for the children in Nursery, Reception, Y2, Y4 and Y6.
• Thursday 29 January 2026 Candlemas Day Monday 2nd February The festival of Candlemas marks the day that Jesus was "Presented at the Temple". As Christ is known as the Light of the World, Candlemas is observed by the blessing of candles. Traditionally people brought their candles to church to get blessed and these candles were used throughout the year
• Tuesday 6 January 2026 Feast of Epiphany January 6th We celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany on 6th January, the day the 3 wise men visited Jesus and brought him presents of gold, frankincense and myrrh

• Wednesday 19 November 2025 Season of Advent is Upon Us The season of Advent is nearly upon us. The theme for 2025 from Pope Leo is one of hope, love, service and peace which ties in with the Jubilee Year theme of Pilgrims of Hope.
• Monday 3 November 2025 Selling Poppies for Royal British Legion Please look out for the Y6 children selling poppies in the parent's waiting area every day before and after school
• Tuesday 21 October 2025 BOOK WEEK OCTOBER 2025 Book Week is very exciting at St Mary's when we celebrate books in all their glory. On Thursday, we dress up as a character from our favourite book and participate in a parade in the Infant playground.
• Wednesday 8 October 2025 MENTAL HEALTH DAY 10th OCTOBER We will celebrate Mental Health Day on Friday 10th October by wearing something yellow
• Thursday 18 September 2025 HARVEST FESTIVAL Our annual Harvest Festival Mass takes place in Christchurch on Tuesday 23rs September. We are currently collecting food items and toiletries for the Sisters of Mercy charities. Food must be non-perishable, sealed and in date.

• Wednesday 30 April 2025 May is the month of Mary The month of May is traditionally known as the month of Mary, during which we honour Mary, the mother of Jesus. Our Faith Friends will lead a Rosary prayer session each Wednesday morning at 8.30am in the gym hall. The Crowing of Our Lady will take place on Wednesday 21st May.
